Quality management is one of the management basics in the twenty-first century. The global competition and the scientific and technological revolution of knowledge institutions have led libraries and information centres to raise the level of outputs and services they provide. Therefore, there was an urgent need for new thought to consider quality and continuous improvement as a strategic goal. The Six Sigma method represents one of the most famous modern management concepts. This method is based on total quality that achieves the highest quality in institutions' administrative processes. Applying this method in various administrative procedures has proven its efficiency in helping institutions provide flawless services that satisfy the beneficiaries' desires. It is a methodology to improve and bring the institution close to perfection in improving its performance, satisfying its beneficiaries, achieving conscious leadership, and consolidating a culture and civilized thought,to improve the level of services provided by libraries and prepare them for the requirements of the new era.
