Abstract

The article is a review of a book "Digital Information culture among Researchers in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences and its Impact on Specialized Non-Governmental Libraries: A Study Using the Impact Assessment”.
The book is considered one of the few books that deals the subject of the Impact Assessment through study and application in libraries in general, and specialized non-governmental libraries in particular.
It consists of four chapters, four appendixes and a list of sources and references in both Arabic and foreign languages. The origin of the book is a master’s thesis by the author, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Usama El-Sayed Mahmoud, which was discussed in February 2019.
The titles of the chapters of the book are as follows:
Chapter One: Informational culture and the new digital informational culture.
The second chapter: the new digital information culture among beneficiaries, information specialists, and libraries in the community of non-governmental libraries and research centers in Egypt.
The third chapter: the impact assessment method and its application in libraries and information centers.
The fourth chapter: impact assessment method: apply to measure the digital information culture of some libraries and projects in public and specialized non-governmental libraries.
This book was chosen for its unique applied of the impact assessment method, which is considered modern in the field of libraries and information in the Arab world.
