Abstract

The importance of the subject of the study stems from the importance of electronic archiving itself and its application, in government institutions, especially the Sohag Governorate Courts Complex, and an attempt to identify the nature of electronic archiving, its advantages and disadvantages, and the problem of the study focused on identifying the procedures, steps and requirements for the application of electronic archiving systems in the Sohag Governorate Courts Complex, And knowing the objectives of the application of electronic archiving in the Sohag Governorate Courts Complex, monitoring the challenges and difficulties facing the process of benefiting from it, and developing a systematic plan for the development of electronic archiving systems in it. The study aimed to identify:

- The concept of electronic archiving, its origin, and the steps for applying electronic archiving systems.

- The output of the electronic archiving process, its types and the requirements for building the electronic archive.

- Objectives and motives for the application of electronic archiving systems in the Sohag Governorate Courts Complex

- The reality of electronic archiving of the collections and holdings of civil courts in the Sohag Courts Complex.

- Steps of electronic archiving of documents and types of services provided by the electronic archive in the Sohag Courts Complex.

- The importance of electronic archiving for electronic litigation and electronic courts.

- Pros and cons of applying electronic archiving in the Sohag Courts Complex and how to overcome them.
