Abstract

The study aims to identify the community Involvement of libraries in terms of their concept, forms, general principles, importance, objectives, benefits, and fields. Libraries are one of the most important tools which society can be advanced and improved. Given that libraries are an important and primary indicator of the progress of societies, they should study the new changing and needs of the user's community. The primary goal of establishing any type of library is to serve society and work to develop and grow it and educate its members. The study also aims to present the role of all types of libraries "public libraries, school libraries, academic libraries, and national libraries" in serving society and playing an effective role in raising the developmental level of the knowledge, educational, cultural, economic, and environmental sectors of societies, and helping to achieve sustainable development, and also the role of libraries during crises, disasters, displacement, and conflicts in serving society, with a review of some Community Involvement programs for some libraries. The study also presented some programs that can depend on it to activate the role of Community Involvement for different types of Libraries, the researcher depend on the survey method with its descriptive style in studying and presenting this participation.
