Based on Egypt’s Vision 2030, which supports encouraging innovation, spreading the culture of scientific research and linking it to education and development; The study aimed to monitor and analyze Helwan University's scientific production pure and applied sciences published internationally in the Scopus database from 1975 to 2023, and their impact on Helwan University's ranking in international university rankings.

The study relied on the bibliometric graphic method and the descriptive analytical method, according to the study's finding Helwan University produced 22,454 studies in the field of pure and applied sciences, Thematic disciplines were divided into 5 main disciplines and 20 subspecialties, and the engineering specialization has the highest concentration ever. Journal articles were the most widely published form of information sources for scientific production. The English language is the language of primary publication and the most dominant in scientific production.

with reference to the international classification of Helwan University, it was not included in the Shanghai Ranking 2023 list, while it ranked 1201 - 1500 in the Times Ranking 2023, and ranked 1201 - 1400 in the QS Ranking 2023, and ranked 1582 in the Webometrics Ranking 2023, The study recommended expanding the circle of cooperation with international universities in the international publishing process. Raising and increasing the budget allocated for international publishing at Helwan University, working to follow the standards adopted in academic rankings of world universities, to achieve an advanced global ranking, and encourage faculty members to provide high-quality research contributions in journals with a high impact factor.
