Evaluating the effectiveness of information vigilance in health information centers: Assiut Governorate as a model

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of information vigilance in health information centers in Assiut Governorate, by analyzing their theoretical frameworks and reviewing their applications in the health field, diagnosing the level of activation of their practices within the centers, and evaluating the technical tools and human cadres used in monitoring, analysis and foresight operations.The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach.The questionnaire tool was applied to a sample of (196) health information center employees. The results revealed that (52.04%) of respondents confirmed the use of electronic health databases, while (58.67%) indicated the availability and use of data analysis programs such as SPSS and Excel.The results showed a decrease in the use of health crisis forecasting tools by (48.47%) only. It was also found that (46.94%) of participants believe that the accurate information provided by mindfulness activities contributes to making more effective decisions. The most prominent challenges were the lack of workers’ skills at a rate of (43.37%), and the weakness of the technical infrastructure at a rate of (46.94%). The study recommended the need to enhance the use of artificial intelligence technologies, intensify training programs, and improve the technical and organizational work environment to ensure the effectiveness of information vigilance systems in supporting decision-making and improving the quality of health services.
